This is a Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) role.

CJS provides young people (aged 16 to 29 years) living in Scotland with paid jobs in voluntary sector organisations. The programme focuses in particular on unemployed young people aged 16-29 who are care experienced, are carers themselves, early Armed Forces service leavers (under six years), those with criminal convictions and those who have disabilities or other health issues.

CJS job opportunities will give you the chance to develop and increase your work skills and gain great workplace experience. By working in a voluntary sector organisation it also means that you’ll be helping to improve your community.

Role

  • To welcome visitors to the depot at reception ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and filed;
  • Being first point of contact for people to the depot via email and telephone;
  • Use of internal stock control system to facilitate depot operations;
  • Generating Community Food Member orders accurately and on time;
  • Filing of paperwork;
  • Working with volunteers;
  • Photocopying/Laminating;
  • Answering telephones, taking detailed messages;
  • Any other duties reasonable to fulfilling your post.

Person specification

Full training will be given. Basic IT Skills and previous experience in a similar role is desirable.

Job title: Development Worker – Employability and Training (Employability Fund delivery)
Salary: £21,150 – £23,500
Hours: Full time
Location: 4th Floor, 24 St Enoch Centre, G1 4DB

Role

To promote and develop the delivery of our Employability Fund programme. The role will support young people furthest from the employment market, aged 16-17, to access and sustain an integrated employability programme, gaining practical work experience, skills and vocational training at our FareShare Glasgow and the West of Scotland training depot.

The role will also develop and deliver a range of accredited, bespoke employability programmes, aimed at all FareShare volunteers. This role will support volunteers through group and individual training, offering support to fulfil their potential and achieve their goals.
