Our Family Food Service have recently launched a “Surplus, Surplus” pilot scheme in partnership with our FareShare Glasgow and the West of Scotland warehouse. The Friday scheme provides food that would be going out of date over the weekend, which supports families who can eat it straight away or freeze it for later, as well as helping us minimise waste in the warehouse!
The scheme is in the very early stages but so far we have delivered food to Camstradden Primary School and Broomloan Nursery School.
