We’re sad to announce that the funding for our Family Food Service has come to an end and the project will finish on 31st July 2019.

Arrangements are in place with our FareShare Glasgow and the West of Scotland warehouse to ensure we can support activities planned for the rest of the summer holidays. We’re currently in the process of contacting all members we have commitments with in August 2019 to advise.

If your organisation is currently part of the Family Food Service network, please contact Scott at our FareShare warehouse to find out more about becoming a Community Food Member to receive a weekly supply of food. You can contact Scott on 0141 958 1133 or scott@moveon.org.uk for more information.

We would like to take a moment to thank all of the services who have helped us build a network of support for children and families in Glasgow when the schools are closed. Since the service was introduced in November 2017, together we have provided over 150,000 meals and brought communities together to socialise, learn new skills and have fun. We genuinely couldn’t have achieved what we have without each and every one of you, so a huge thank you to every single staff member and volunteer who has helped make the Family Food Service such a big success.

Thank you also to the Scottish Government’s Aspiring Communities Fund with support from the European Social Fund for funding the project for the past two years.
