Connect 2 are now recruiting for our Jan-March 2018 programmes:
Drumchapel- Start Date 17th January 2018 based in the Drumchapel Community Centre (320 Kinfauns Dr, Glasgow, G15 7HA) and will run Wed/Thurs/Fri 10am-3pm- referral deadline Friday 12th January
City Centre- Start Date 22nd January 2018 based in The Princes Trust Wolfson Centre (Cumbrae House, 15 Carlton Court, Glasgow, G5 9JP) and will run Mon/ Tues/ Wed 10am-3pm- *ALMOST FULL referral deadline Wednesday 17th January
Easterhouse- Start Date 29th January 2018 based in FARE (31 Drumlanrig Avenue, Glasgow, G34 0JF) and will run Mon/ Tues/ Wed 10am- 3pm- referral deadline Wednesday 24th January
City Centre- Start Date 7th February 2018 based in The Princes Trust Wolfson Centre (Cumbrae House, 15 Carlton Court, Glasgow, G5 9JP) and will run Wed/ Thurs/ Fri 10am-3pm- referral deadline 31st January
Connect 2 is a stage 1 eight week personal development programme, It involves delivery input from five Inspiring Scotland Ventures; FARE, Move On, Venture Trust, Tomorrow’s People and Impact Arts to offer young people various taster sessions and relevant issue based workshops to develop skills and raise awareness. Young people will work with their lead coach to create realistic action plans and set goals to support their progression onto mainstream training, further education or employment opportunities with aftercare support.
Young people will receive a work experience bus pass, £3 lunch expenses per day and if eligible will be supported to apply for Education Maintenance Allowance (£30 per week). Whilst on the course participants will also complete their Bronze Youth Achievement Award (SCQF Level 4 gaining 7 SCQF Credit Points).
We require a fully completed referral form prior to Connect 2 contacting a young person to arrange a one-to-one appointment.
