Connect 2 is a successful partnership between Glasgow City Council and five voluntary sector organisations working in Glasgow: FARE, Venture Trust, Move On, Tomorrow’s People and Impact Arts. We offer young people an early intervention 8-week employability programme (stage 1 of the employability pipeline). The programme runs three days per week from 10am to 3pm. Young people are provided with a bus pass and lunch expenses. Eligible young people are supported to access Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA), £30 per week.
To provide young people with taster sessions to increase their personal development and core skills including: communication, problem-solving, team work, practical, media and creativity skills. Support young people to set realistic career goals and develop an action plan to help them realise these, as well as support the transition into mainstream training, education or employment opportunities.
Young people aged 16-19, facing barriers and needing intensive support prior to making a positive transition onto further opportunities.
Various locations across the city, including: The Prince’s Trust – Wolfson Centre, FARE and city centre locations.
