Location: Edinburgh
Training dates: Tuesday 17th April 17:30 – 20:30 & Thursday 19th April 17:30 – 20:30

Role

We require enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to assist in our highly successful services for vulnerable young people.

Move On is working in partnership with Link Living to deliver the Edinburgh Young Person’s Service. The service will support young people experiencing homelessness and those at risk of homelessness, to access and maintain safe and suitable accommodation.

As a befriender you will work one-to-one with a young person for a period of 6 months, for 1-2 hours per week.

The young person will be preparing to exit from tenancy support with a dedicated support worker from Link Living.

The befriending service will provide an ongoing ‘safety net’ of community support, as the young person transitions towards a fulfilling and independent life.

As a befriender you will receive training, ongoing support and development.
